My superpower is creating opportunities for people to form meaningful connections with each other, and with big, complicated ideas. I love to create and strengthen communities of awesome people.
My academic work explored the meeting places of history, geography, and identity, especially in the context of nations and empires.
Since then, I have worked with a variety of organizations, from non-profits with one employee to large international corporations. I've also worked with various boards and committees of non-profit and academic institutions. I love a crowd, and in addition to my salons I regularly host wine tastings, speaker panels, and professional events.
I split my time between San Jose, California and Toronto, Ontario. My non-work passions are legion and include unusual and delicious wines, regional dialects, public transit, vexillology, New Wave 80s music, Manchester United, learning foreign languages, and competing with my champion trivia team, Smart Throbs.
